A quad is perhaps what you are after BUT if I can suggest you also consider looking at the three wheeled new offerings from Piaggio and Gilera - they are meant to be excellent and you can see details on the Mp3 at

http://www.piaggio.com - click on either of the brands and your country to see the details.

You get the stability and ablity of the bike to stand up itself plus when on the move you can get the fun of a bit of lean. Thoroughly reccomended.

Piaggio do a three wheeler but not too sure if you could convert for two, does it have to be a scooter?, how about a bike and sidecar, check this link: http://www.charnwoodclassic.com/

Or maybe a trike: check this link: http://www.netupandgo.com/hankschopshop/

Or you could take a look at the National Association for Bikers with Disabilities website: http://www.nabd.org.uk/ to give you some idea's.

Hope you get sorted

Log on to www.bigassmotors.com this is a scooter site I believe in California. Scroll down about half way and he has an ad for a three wheeled vehicle called an Argo, could be just what you are looking for.

Not sure about 4 wheeled scooter - never seen one. Have you considered a 2 seater road legal quad? Lot more fun with more street cred.

It would be a "quad" not a scooter. I have seen single seater ones licenced for the road in U.K. .As they tip over more easily than a small car, many countries won't licence them for public road use. However the farmers in Australia use them successfully for mustering sheep etc., when the helicoptor is "in for a service".

What you need is a microcar.

These are very small four-wheelers, which can be driven on either a car or a motorcycle licence. Their very light weight means they are classed as a quadricyle.

There are about half a dozen manufacturers making everything from coupes and convertibles to pickups.

Such a thing doesn't exist, I think. If you're in the UK it's now possible to buy road legal quads, that's about as close as you'll get to your requirement I think.
