MDI is in production on cars that run on compressed air that have zero pollution. These cars can go about 60 - 70 mph, have a travel distance of about 150 miles, estimated costs of air to run them at about 1/10 the cost of gasoline. Fork lifts, boats, and other items are being made in Australia with this technology.

I wish they would offer them here, but the truth is that no third party companies can profit from them. (like oil companies).
They also devloped a car over here that runs on pure water and the only bi-product or waste from it is more water. They developed that car in the 80's but somehow never surfaced into the market.
Now they are pushing for ethanol fuels here so oil companies can still profit, even though there are still better and more efficient alternative fuels available like hydrogen, electric, bio-diesel, methane, etc, etc.
If Euro automakers could develope that car to go faster than 60-70mph, and a longer travel distance, they would strike gold in the U.S. if they could squeeze into our auto market.
Hey, it could happen.
They are finally going to start selling the SMART (mercedes line) cars here.......but we already have cars here that are just as fuel efficient if not more than those, and they are bigger cars.
So it's hard to say really.

OK, compressed air has the same problems as battery powered vehicles. You need to charge up your tanks often and how many places have the equipment to compress air to the very high psi you need to go anywhere. I would check your information out, something doesn't sound right. They say they have got around the laws of physics some how.

well it falls about 15 MPH short of my regular driving speed.

And I would be out of air after 150 miles - I'd have to walk the last 10 miles home after work

I bet this thing looks like a smart car too huh? - - FUGLY

Oh my god it's worse than the smart car look

May be many reasons. One being be the feasibility (Expense) to convert to this technology. Same reason Hydrogen cars are being sold to China and not America. China can easily convert to Hydrogen refueling stations, while America is stuck in the mud, or, should I say Oil Slick.

Sounds like a rhetorical question. You seem smart enough to know the answer. Were you just trying to get the word out somehow?
