No, most philosophy has been historically developed within religion. Many of the early great minds were priests or some type of religious figure. Eg. Descartes, Humes, Confucius, Histoprical Buda, Jesus, St. Augustine... and many others. Even today we have much of philosophy preoccupied with spiritual ideas and the conceptual pocibility of deities.
The things is that when someone doesn't offend your beliefs than they are not singled out. It has been the extreme religious right together with the neo-cons using them, that have established such idea.
Think! The vast majority of humanity believes in some form of superior or creating deity. Those who don't are singled out. And those who don't believe in such, tend to reach the conclusion through reasoning/thinking. therefore they are philosophers or sorts. Definitely, they are not reaching such comclusions via peer pressure! Right? So they tend to be philosopher who disagree. Eventually they are singled out as philosophers (as if that alone was a bad thing). And philosophers within or supportive of religious faith are designated as religious thinkers, moralizers, or another conotation that can be viewed by masses as positive to make them part of the in crowd...!
That is why you even ask such question.
Note: However, with the body of knowledge we have today being used in the academic field of philosophy, it makes it hard for those interested in pure reason to believe in a God. But that doesn't mean philosophy students in univercities are all atheists.
Eg. Large portions are agnostic (not the classic historical kind)...! Although this informations is from my own personal experience...

i think you mean,"Are most Philosophers
atheist?"

My "input" is this.
We or anyone else are unlikely to know whether 'most philosophers' are or are not
atheist.
Under the modern classification,philosophy
is a subject aside from religion(thus it can be and usually is,taught as such).
It neednt be,especially if one is looking back thro history trying to find-out why a
particular philosopher came to understand
his particular viewpoint.
