Nope. Even if he blows every game, they still have a better team than the Yankees.

Gagne sucks, he'd look better in pinstripes.

Well, frankly yes. I went to Yankee Stadium for the late August series where we (the Red Sox) got swept. Almost the entire Yankees lineup (excepting Johnny-I cheated on my wife and blamed it on her-Damon) was batting over .300! And Rivera looked good...not 1998 good, but good nonetheless. And how about Joba Chamberlain?

I think that the Sox could still pull it off but Francona's going to have to stop leaving in pitchers that are tanking (and I'm not just talking about Gagne). And don't even get me started on our offense...

Yankee fan right here. Joba did no longer out-ace Beckett. that is merely that the two pitchers had their "A" video games going. The Yankees have been fortunate to eke out this win. are not getting me incorrect, i'm chuffed approximately it. yet permit's ease up in this communicate that Joba grow to be that a lot extra perfect than Beckett. i'm chuffed for the win. desire the Yankees can get a pair extra. And for all the Sox followers bitching approximately Joba coming in on Youkilis, evaluate that Pedro used to bust Yankee batters in usually throughout his Sox occupation. Now, i do no longer believe pitching that should endanger somebody, yet permit's no longer faux that Boston pitchers have not tried to get on the Yankees earlier on the plate.
