If you do not chart or monitor your fertility in any way, and you think you may have conceived, you should wait 19 days (or longer) after having sex to test. Why 19?! Sperm can live approximately 5 days in the proper environment; if the sperm managed to live until you popped an egg, the actual conception could have taken place several days after the sex act that got the sperm there. To make sure you're not testing too early, assume the sperm had very long lives (5 days is considered a very long sperm life) and that conception occurred then. Then allow 14 days for the embryo to implant and develop enough hCG to show up on a pregnancy test (96% of pregnant women will test positive by then.)

It depends where you are in your cycle at the time. Your most accurate pregnancy reading would be to wait until your period is due, if it is late take a test!! I think you can get a new type of test that can give a reading up to 5 days before your period is due but I don't know how accurate these are!!! Good luck either way :)

Weight benefit and cravings do no longer regularly start up that early in being pregnant. this is in all likelihood psychosomatic. Regardless, you should be pregnant. Your bleeding may well be a demonstration of an early miscarriage. if it is so, you will desire to work out your physician ASAP. An incomplete miscarriage can carry approximately each form of issues (an infection, etc.). a doctor can attempt for being pregnant even in the past the 1st ignored era. If it is been greater effective than a month because of the fact your final era (no longer such because of the fact the present odd bleeding) the checklist can actual run a attempt to work out in case you're/have been pregnant.

If you take a pregnancy test, it is usually 100% sureif you take it about 3-7 days after you expect your monthly period. But, if you go to a doctor and have them check, about 2 days after intercourse is enough. the analysis can take up to three days though.

Couple of weeks. it takes that long for the hormones to change.
Less time you will only get negatives or even false positives.

I would say four weeks to be on the safe side,
then again it depends on when you had your last period
