I can vouch that what you're saying is true. I heard it on the radio this morning on the way to work.
My friend here would be a star if he tried to speak like a pirate. He has a very educated London accent and if he tries to talk like a pirate he'd sound like a poofter, LOLOLOL... "ARRRR YOU GOSH YOU !" lololol

I will probably go home and watch pirate films though - specifically the ones with Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom in :-D
