It could be your birth control. I know that when the doctor put me on Depo a few years ago, I had a 7 MONTH period.
It could also mean something more serious, like problems with your cervix or uterus. Do you have an OBGYN you can go to?

Well, I just had this problem cleared up six weeks ago..
you should see your obgyn.. it sounds like fibroyds..
And they should be checked and removed.. as you do not want any long term problems like cancer.
I had to have a hysterectomy... and now no problems.. but if you have not have had any children yet.. then you may just need a dnc.
But don't let this go too long.. as I did and became a severe anemic.. and now on disability for a little while longer.

it could be due to hormonal changes, polycystic ovarian disease, unknown miscarriage (usually with miscarriage bleeding doesn't last more than 3 wks) endometriosis, problems with you cervix, and the list goes on. you don't need to worry yourself with all the possibilities that are being posted on here: first and foremost, you need to see a doctor. a dr. can look over your medical history and recent medications as well as birth control you have used or are using. there are too many reasons this could be happening, you need to see your doctor.

My first though after seeing you question was that it is probably fibroids.
You should go to your doctor. Bleeding continuously for 2 months is not good/healthy.

have your ob-gyne check u up, you might have a problem in any part of your reproductive system..it could be a cyst in the ovary..or cancer..or maybe ur pregnant and u weren't aware of it that causes ur bleeding..
for your peace of mind it is really much beter if u visit an ob-gyne and have them run some tests on you..

It could be hormonal as people before have said but my friend had continuous periods due to anemia.
