If you were appointed to give an award for outstanding achievement in overcoming horrible adversity, and the nominees were Helen Keller and Jesse Owens, who would you choose? One of the criteria is also having given the positive contributions to society. Why?

Neither of these two individuals faced adversity in my view. I regularly meet people's whose lives have been far more difficult.

Most of the truly inspiring stories of those who overcome horrendous lives rarely make it to common awareness.
