I thought it was hilarious - since she was joking - and it was obvious.
People are too uptight these days. Freedom of speech rocks!

It was hysterically funny. Yeah, it is okay- as far as I know, it is just as okay for her to say that as it is for you to post this question...
besides, people aren't too bright and don't get it. She was being ironic and making fun of all the rappers, sports stars, etc...who thank Jesus for their awards- as if Jesus has nothing better to do than make sure that someone wins a football game. That's what you should find insulting.

why not? just because i believe in God doesnt mean she has to. and not to mention it was a JOKE. do you really believe shes going home to worship the trophy? with cursing or lewd comments aside, the simple quote about God is her right to say and believe. people have the right to thank God for their awards, she has the right to say no no thaks God this was all me.

She's a comedian! She's suppose to be shockingly funny! That often means taking chances with your audiences. She obviously misjudged a few that night. Now, let her move on!

What an idiot. I'm not super religious, but isn't one of the 10 commandments, "thou shalt not put other false gods before me"?
