It's possible that you could get into a program in a lower-ranked graduate college, but it will depend on the program itself (there are fewer people going for grad. degrees in math than there are in psychology--by the way, math majors might be able to get thru if they're flash with numbers even if they don't know the difference between "accept" and "except") :-)

Lots of them, just not the major, prestige universities, for which you have to be outstanding. However, if you are going to be a graduate student, please know that what you mean is "accepting", not "excepting", which means something entirely different!
