Maybe Jaromir Jagr (5 Art Ross, 2 Stanley Cups, 1 Hart, 3 Pearsons) or Martin Brodeur (3 Stanley Cups, 1 Calder, 3 Vezinas, 4 Jennings, Olympic Gold). Both sure-fire HOF'ers.

*Edit - The ones that said Hasek above, completely true. He would be more decorated than Brodeur I'd agree. Cloudcity is correct. Lidstrom no doubt for defensemen.

Wow. Amazing how many people don't understand what "still active" means.

In any case, I'm going with Nick Lidstrom. Stanley Cups, Norris Trophies galore, All-Star games, and a Conn Smythe trophy on top of all that. He's the best player of the past 10 years, although I think your Brodeur pick is a good one, too!

It'll be an easier question 10 years from now. Crosby, Crosby, Crosby.

Goaltending would be Hasek. Stanley Cup winner. Gold medal winner for the olympics. He has won six Vezina Trophies (Only Jacques Plante, with seven, has won more. and Hasek is still going). several other key awards like a few Hart trophies for MVP.

for Defense, Niklas Lidstrom with 5 Norris Trophies.

I don't know of any forwards that truly stand out right now... maybe Joe Sakic for the most career pts for any active player ? though Jagr is close and with more goals in far fewer games... I think both won 2 Stanley Cups as well... I'd probably have to ever so slightly go with Jagr.

Seems like everybody beat me to the obvious, Jagr, Hasek, Brodeur and Lidstrom.

Like I'm Telling You, a glaring example of misreading an obvious talent, indeed.

I'd say it's either Lidstrom, Forsberg or Hasek.

They all have Cups rings, Olypmic gold medals, Hart Trophies, Conn Smythe Trophies
Lidsrom has a Calder and a few Norris trophies
Hasek has a couple Vezinas
Forsberg has Calder and Art Ross to his credit.
