The only thing that will correct the issue of the U. S being in Iraq and the problems related to us in that country is for the war in the entire Middle East (that includes us) to stop. Elections in Iraq is a farce and no matter what will be the same can of worms, even, after we have left the scene.

I think that those who are CAUSING the problems are the ones that DONT WANT the elections to take place. From my pov, it would seem they would prefer a religious state.

The best way to get this under control would be to divide the country in three. They already have a map drawn. I saw it back in April on the national news one night. Split the country up and then break up the coalition forces into three sections, each getting one country. They would have less area to protect, they would have a majority of people who actually get along decently (due to similar faiths), and the iraqis might actually start to help us out a bit if they know someone that has similar interests would be governing their country. The only downside is determining which one gets the oil profits since the other two get the desert.

there are too many problems for any election to"fix". any fixing has to come from the Iraqi population without out side interference from ANY non-Iraqi.
