Mshighwater, If the McCanns can't even be bothered to watch their own kids on holiday, It's highly unlikely that they would go to that trouble!
I'm pretty certain they would have disposable nappies to the ready!
Just my opinion mind!

I don't know, it is a bit strange. Why did Kate not bring this up when she was questioned about it, instead of refusing to answer? Why would they put them under the spare tyre (along with Madeleine's sandals)? They have had a top legal team all week, and this is the best answer they could give? Having said that, I do hope that there is an innocent explanation for that DNA being there, and then maybe the media will focus on what is really important here: finding that little girl, and finding out what really happened to her.

We,ve all done it. I have 5 children and when we went out, if a nappy change was required, my wife would do it, then i would stop the car, get out, lift the carpet in the boot and put it in the spare wheel well, rather than in the boot on top of the carpet......and pigs might fly as well.

Have the mccanns not heard of nappy bags that you put a dirty nappy in so as it does'nt smell.

They must think the great british public is stupid.

Believe it or not, but some people respect the environment by not throwing their dirty nappies around the street. I know many young parents who put their nappies in the boot of the car to take them home and dispose of them in the proper way, Why, do you throw them into the street? There are very few public toilets in Portugal, and only one in Praia-da-Luz.

Maybe they changed the baby on the seat and the soiled nappies left there till they reached a bin. Being civilised and having some respect for the environment they didn't chuck it out of the car window, like some scummy chavs do.

Surely even you in your rose coloured world have seen a stray dirty nappy before, or lo and behold, been stuck for a suitable place to put some rubbish?

Some people use washable nappies on environmental (and cost) grounds. You store wet & dirty nappies in a bucket until you have enough to make up a load in the washing machine. If the McCanns did this (and I don't know if this is the case or not) then the bucket would, presumably have been carried in the boot when they were moving to other accommodation.

edit: since you acknowledge that it is your opinion that they would not use washable nappies for the reason you describe, I'll share with you my opinion that you are wrong and have no basis for your suggestion.

It's entirely possible that the twins were in the boot along with their dirty nappies. Maybe they were 'hysterical' and that was the only way to keep them from spoiling a 'family' outing. Perfectly logical behavior for people who consider their children accessories.

why not do you expect the twins to sit in their dirty nappy's ! Or leave them in the front of the car! They may have not been near a bin!

... not to mention under where the spare tyre goes? I've never known anyone to store anything there - never mind dirty nappies!! Peculiar ......
