I think it's usually worn on one ear. I've never really seen it on a real person before but.....here's a picture of it

It's called an ear cuff...they can be simple like the one in the cartoon...or intricate like the one I have...
My diamond cuff is cuffed on mid-ear...with a chain to an actual diamond earring in my pierced ear...I actually have the 'pair' of them...but only wear one with the earring part in the third hole in my ear.

It is called an ear "cuff". They can be plain like the gold one in the cartoon, or shaped like little animals or people. I saw lovely little ones made of silver shaped like little men and animals in Mexico.
