Collingwood supporter here,
The maggies have been taking all the precautions this week; such as flying in the plane from Perth to Melbourne at low altitude to help with recovery. They have Joshy Fraser back this week which will improve Collingwoods ruck work and clearances. I truly beleive that the cats are not unbeatable. In the long run I think Collingwood want that Grand Final spot more. So when Friday comes tommorow I will be cheering on the pies.
THE TIP: Collingwood 97 Geelong 95

The 2 two finals teams Collingwood have played, ...the Grand Finalist's in '05 and '06 ...they "eliminated" from the '07 Premiership race . The team Geelong played Kangaroos, are still alive . The Cats were humiliated by the Roos before beginning a winning streak against the bottom teams, which Port Adelaide ended, and they are also still alive! . Geelong only managed a 16 point win against the Pies in R15 , Malthouse, the most successful and experienced coach, of the 4 teams still in the Premiership race, said it was the worst game Collingwood had played, while Buckley Clement and Rusling were out injured. Football is part physical part mental, and the Cats are still to prove the mental trauma they suffered in the '05 Prelim final is resolved , while the Magpies after last week. are mentally and physically cruising. The Collingwood players want a flag for "Buckley", Geelong just want a flag ...and compared to WHO... the Pies have already played in the finals..., the '05 '06 premiers, the Cats are still the 1963 premiers ... and hold NO mental fears for Collingwood ! Both teams have EARNED their place in the FIRST Preliminary final, for Geelong easy, Collingwood tough, and when the goings tough the tough get going! . It could be just enough on Collingwood's home ground, in front of their regular capacity crowd, that the EASY ride, eventually just becomes too tough for the Cats, making that other thing,.. ya call ya CAT, wobble.

I think Geelong will win, but Collingwood may just have a chance - a better one than either of the other two would have, anyway.

I am just like Ray A, I am so nervous about this game, I still hope the handbag delivery is delayed until Oct. 1. Yes, I want Geelong to win, they are going so well. I just think that Collingwood has to kick 22-25 goals to win and Rocca can't kick that many.
Go Catters from the only member of the club in North America. I will try to listen to 3AW on the Internet, the game starts at 4:40 a.m. Friday morning here. No television here in the USA of footy for the second year in a row.

I so hope Geelong ... I get Grand Final tickets if they do! But I'm nervous, very nervous and I can tell you - even as a Cats member - I put a wad of money on the Maggies at $4.00 - with the Cats at $1.08 or something stupid - they are just NOT the odds ... about $1.30 Cats, $2.50 Pies I'd reckon.

I'd love for Collingwood to win. Would be great. Unfortunetly I don't think we will. Though if we lose, I don't think it will be anything like the blow the Kangas sufferered to the Cats.
