Hi, I'm an italian guy, I'm student at University of Milan! My biggest passion is cinema and acting in particular. I've always dreamt of attending the legendary Actor's Studio in NYC, but I'm afraid I can have no chance since I have no experience in acting (it takes away a lot of time and I need to get my Bachelor's Degree as soon as possible). I'm still a little bit far from my Degree, but I want to start exploring my possibilities. Do you think I will have a chance to be accepted in the school with no background experience? Thanks in advance for answering

Yeah with a small resume and a large checking account you can probably get in eventually. There's probably a waiting list.

The last Italian guy I knew that wanted to be an actor was my Dressing Room mate---in a Stage Play at the Pasadena Playhouse in California---It was his first acting performance so I had to put on his makeup---his name was Victor Mature.
He did pretty well in the Movies without any acting
lessons other than the one I gave him --my advice was
"play yourself --Victor Mature !" Which he did--a likeable
guy---in "The Robe" and at the O.K. Corral

Forget about Method Acting and the "Actor"s
Studio"---it's a Scam started by Stanislavsky
from Moscow ----Chekhov called him a "Terrible
Actor who ruined my plays !"---
I can never forgive the Actor's Studio owners--the Strasburgs --for convincing Marilyn to study there---even tho she was a big star who could act rings around any Method Actror----It only added to her confusion---and low self
esteem----a lovely natural actress who stole scenes
from the great Laurence Olivier

I have been in Milan many times--
also met another Italian guy inNaples at the Seamen's Club--- his name was "Lucky" Luciano---he made a nice living in a trade which you might consider---pays better than acting---

What's this about Bachelor's Degrees? Are you
tall and handsome or weird looking for horror films--?
Get real---that's what matters.!

The Actor'sStudio is not a school in the ususal sense of the word. One has to audition and be voted in my the membership and that is tough because they are a bunch of smug snobs who think Method acting is the only true acting. They couldn't be more wrong, of course. There are better acting schools than Actor's Studio.
