No...and it breaks my heart knowing you're scared! Mace, gun or taser, invest in one! maybe invest in another pitbull for Mud.

Let your dog up on the bed and leave a light on or something soothing on the TV like the history channel or discovery channel, something interesting but not exciting. That's usually how I get to sleep when I'm nervous...

When I was younger, I watched the Exorcist and I thought Satan would come for me at 3am..LOL! I couldn't sleep for ages!
Play really loud music.. It'll freak the peeper out.

You shouldn't worry if your windows and doors are locked and curtains draw properly.
Your guard dog will hear first and protect you, thats why you have him!
If anyone even attempted to break in your guard dog will chew his arm off before he even got in!!!! You dog wont like strangers on his territory.

Turn on the outside lights, all of them.. peepers dont like that... not only would it make it hard to see in.. they could be seen around your house very easily.

Place objects under windows behind doors that will snap crack or crunch to where it will be obvious and wake you if anything gets through. Good Luck! If you have a cell or a cordless take it with you to bed.

Lock your bedroom door. Take a drink if you have any in the home. Keep your cell phone near you. And yes I have been to scared to sleep.

When I'm too scared or upset to sleep, I always start praying and asking God for help and protection. The evil one hates that and moves out so you will get to sleep fast. Works for me every time. Good Luck and God Bless

Have faith in your dog, you'll be alright.

I was too afraid to sleep last year after a couple of episodes of being "hag-ridden" in the middle of the night.

At least YOUR fear is 3-dimensional!

Peace.

Sorry I was in bed asleep when this happened. I've been there (stalker). Can't wait to see your first Mooooooooooooooooooooooooooo tomorrow. Call in sick if you can't sleep. Your nerves need the rest.
Here's a star to light your way.
