The casualties of WWII are estimated betwwen 50 and 75 million people. It was the worst genocide of the 20th century. No "devotion to your country" can justify such an enormous crime against humanity.
While it is true that Hitler made many Germans believe he would restore their dignity and turn Germany into a powerful nation, there were many others who never believed him and were more concerned with his actions, the hatred and violence he sponsored. These Germans never regarded Hitler as a patriot. A dictionary definition of "patriotic" cannot convey the meaning of an abstract concept, such as patriotism.
My family left Germany, as did many Germans, when Hitler rose to power. They could tell you stories that will greatly differ from your Hollywood movies.

Pathologically evil, he may have been patriotic at first as he set out to right the wrongs inflicted on Germany at the end of the First World War but in the end he was just an evil megalomaniac who decided that the German people were not worthy of him. Patriotism implies a positive character, you could not decently describe Hitler in a positive light.

I know the definition of 'patriotic.'
I do not think Adolf Hitler was a patriot. Under his leadership - and as a result of his orders - millions of his fellow Germans died. Their crimes? In case you didn't know - Homosexuality. Different political views (Socialism or Communism). Mental and physical diabilities. Judaism.
Obviously he wasn't "completely devoted" to all of his people.

You pass over the factor completely. the respond may be chanced on interior the manifesto on the 'georgia guidestones' the place the requirement is to shrink the present, irresponsible, stages of inhabitants by utilising ninety 5%. devil is likewise in the back of this and demands loss of existence, misery and destruction - what do you think of befell interior the international wars that have been planned an prolonged time before they happened? Hitler grew to become into portion of what you would be attentive to because of the fact the illuminati which originates out of Germany - he purely personified the NWO schedule. What with regard to the Catholic church killing 30m human beings ('heretics') interior the midsection a while in basically some months because of the fact they knew the actuality? of Vlad who very almost impaled a million/2 the inhabitants? we tend to ignore that the Jews went by using numerous holocausts between 9AD and the 2d international conflict - well-known killing way greater advantageous than 6m of them. evaluate the situation that many have performed in the time of history to reason loss of existence, misery and destruction - they are all evil and portion of a similar satanic brotherhood. merely evaluate the Clintons and Blair and then evaluate who they document to. David Icke has an informative information superhighway internet site on those subjects. If Hitler had overtaken the international, the anti-Christ might have been in place suitable now and we would all be in an quite terrible issue. notwithstanding, this occasion is approximately to ultimately erupt any time now.

Hitler wasn't devoted to his country; he is responsible for the deaths of numerous German citizens (who happened to be Jewish). Rather, he was devoted to the idea of the German race. Patriotism doesn't apply to ethnicity or race, so no, he wasn't patriotic.
As for evil, we certainly consider him so and with good reason. However, to be fair, it should be pointed out that everything Hitler did was what he thought was actually good and proper (he just thought wrong).

The two tend to go together. "Patriotism is the last refuge of the scoundrel" (Samuel Johnson). It leads to people believing in "my country right or wrong" - an obviously insupportable position.
Countries - all of them - are inherently wrong, dividing humanity up and setting one group against another. as long as the nation state exists so will war.
Hitler was far more evil than patriotic, but I think he genuinely believed much of his racial claptrap. His experiences in WWI probably caused his devaluation of human life - experiencing slaughter on an industrial scale could easily have affected someone to that extent - it drove many crazy in different ways.

Like all people, Adolf Hitler was patrioc and wanted to do good... but like in so many cases, absolute power corrupts absolutely. Add to that, he apparently had mental illness which made him paranoid and irrational, which led him to make incresingly horrible and evil decisions. Was he evil from the start? Can't say... maybe he was, maybe he wasn't. But by the end of his life he was evil incarnate.

Thank you but I do know what patriotic means.
I also know what evil means.
Adolf Hitler and his cronies were the personification of evil.
(What a condescending and stupid question.)
