Am I bitter?
Am I sweet?
I am honest - and to be truthful, sweet is not me.
On the other hand, bitter seems harsh - well, the truth can be bitter.
Here is one of my poems.
sing song nobody loves me
the phone doesn't ring
tuck myself into bed
cozy in the horizontal position
the position to get laid
my man calls to say hi
I strike the casual note
with a crucifixion in my mouth
back to bed
sing song nobody cares
not self pity
not self mockery
no, only the harsh truth for me
it comforts me
the lover of truth
refusing to believe
the truth could be so harsh
oh say it ain't so
it's just the power of words
only the power of my mind
hearing the phone ring
