G'day from Australia Sam.
I got the same problem with disappearing cookies as you it seems.
Last week sometime, I yelled down the hall to my PC nerd 6yr old asking where all the cookies had gone from our cookie jar.
He came out of his room 2 mins later and lifted his t-shirt.
There was a HUGE inked-on 'Windows' button drawn on his belly labelled "Remove cookies"
"Sorry dad" he grinned, I must have bumped it as I was passing the cookie jar."

Ask the person with the crumbs on their chair and a smirk on their face. When you find them Shout out loudly "You stole my Cookie, you Cookie monster"
