I've tried a few things but no joy. Also tried to syringe it straight into his mouth but he only ends up getting half the dose because of the wriggling! Any suggestions please?

the best way to syringe medicine into a rabbits mouth is to wrap them in a towel tightly so they cant wriggle, get the syringe and do it in two doses you need to put the syringe in the rabbits mouth at the side of the mouth and that way the medicine goes down

it really needs 2 of you to give the dose, one to hold the rabbits still and hold their mouths open, then shut when you put the medicine in by syringe. Hold their mouth shut until they have swallowed, rubbing the throat gently which will encourage it to swallow, then its guaranteed they have the full dose. Try putting it in a small amount of milk, either in bowl or in syringe. This dilutes the taste a little.

I agree with ice queen. Wrapping your bunny in a towel and making a "bunny burrito" is the best method. It is also best to stick the syringe in the side of your bunny's mouth. Be sure not to squirt the meds in too fast -- you don't want the liquid to go into the lungs.

Have you tried mixing it with a little applesauce? You could still syringe it into their mouths, but it would taste better. Most rabbits love the taste of apple.

Sorry, but you'll have to syringe it in somehow! Try wrapping your bunny up tight in a towel and tucking him under your arm so he can't move at all, and squeeze it in. Alternatively you could get someone else to hold him so you can concentrate on getting the stuff in his mouth. It does get easier with practice.

I have 3 rabbits and they all love a slice of brown bread as a treat. You could try putting the liquid on the bread maybe.

Call the vet and ask someone there because if anyone has any advise on how to give animals their medicine it would have to be the vet!
