I wouldnt mind a briefing on the nightlife as I cant find any thing about it in the guide books and the net is not giving much away?

Since your a young lady, don't know if your adventurous or like taking risks, but if you are, then the nightlife can hold a whole new meaning.
Every year, forget exactly when, but they hold a rattlesnake cookoff out in Arizona, and the meat is delicious, especially when deep fried in chicken grease. I use to hunt the snakes while on breaks and earned really great money catching them, milking them for their venom, skinning them and selling their skins to Tandy Leather Company and donating the meat to the cookoff! They usually have lots of beer, mashed potatoes, greens and that good ole fried snake meat, man just thinking about it gets me hungry, hell, I might go on out there myself and do some more hunting for the snakes, just for something interesting to do.

I assume you refer to Phoenix, Arizona? I am a native. Phoenix is in the heart of the Grand Canyon State and there are more scenic wonders than you can shake a stick at. The mountains and the desert are incredibly beautiful.
There are several large casinos in the phoenix area, many lakes for fishing and skiing, and many ancient Indian sites.
Everyone in Phoenix lives around their swimming pool - cookouts and lazing around the pool are continuous. There are also about 400 golf courses in the area. You will be close to Nogales, Mexico and that is a great tourist attraction. You will also be very close to Las Vegas, Nevada: 5 hrs by car, 40 minutes by air. Phoenix is the home of the Phoenix Suns and Arizona Diamondbacks. The people are friendly and prices for meals and lodging are about the lowest of any nice vacation area in the U.S..
You cannot possibly find Phoenix boring. Have a nice trip.

better than atlanta.
