I just got my Depo shot this last Thursday and I was on my period at the time...?

Usually if I'm on my period while I get the Depo, my period stops a day or two afterwards. My period went on until this last Sunday, then stopped, no spotting or anything so I assumed it was over with. Today I woke up and was spotting blood again. Is that normal to have your period stop for a day then start spotting again even AFTER you've gotten the shot?

Yeah, some women bleed for months after getting their shot, whether it be their first or any other shot.
