I bottlefed. That is left up to you.

I bottle fed my first born and he's a well adjusted 2 year old, smart, happy. I breastfeed my second born and he's also well adjusted, smart and happy . So it really depends on what you think is comfortable. I've noticed that breast feeding is more convenient, I didn't have to get up in the middle of the night to make bottles, I don't have to make sure I have water or formula on outings, if you're bashful you only need to bring a blanket, which can easily be left in the car or diaper bag. I flew with both when they were infants and it was more stressful having to bring bottles, due to airport security and having a wailing child waiting for me to make his bottle. With the breastfeeding all I needed to do was unbutton and pop a boob in his mouth before he fussed about it too much. In the beginning I have to admit that it was hard to breast feed; sore nipples, being the only one who can do the feeding, feeling like a spectacle in public. But if I were to do it over again I'd choose to breast feed my first born as well as my second. I feel guilty not being able to share this bond with him that I do with his brother. I hope I helped, good luck and remember no matter what method you use you still made a good decision.

Breastfeeding is best, but bottle-feeding may not be as awful as some people would have you believe.

I wrote what I hope is an objective piece about breastfeeding/bottle-feeding on Associated Content at the above link. If you were to go to that link and scroll down you would run into the article.

(While I don't argue with the idea that breastfeeding is best, there is actually some "propoganda" out there when it comes to this issue.)

Well...breastfeeding is the best...at least for two weeks....their is great stuff in breast milk that helps the babies immune system....but not everyone can do it...I had no milk and bottle fed my baby...she's great and is taller than most 3 year olds. Bottle feeding tends to fill them up more so they sleep better.

hi sweetheart as the saying goes breast is best ,but having said that i feed my 3 daughters on formula and it didnt do them any harm ,i suppose in a lot of ways it is down to how you feel after giving birth ,if everything is sore and tender the last thing you will want to do is give youre self somemore discomfort ,oh and i was told by a lot of people that i was doing things wrong at the end of the day it is all down to you .....good luck and take care xx

I believe breast milk is good for babies. However, in some cases, the baby just can't take up the milk (eg: nipple to big for the baby's mouth) or the breast milk supplies is just not enough. Hence, formula will be just as good in this case.

Breastmilk is always the best. It gives your baby your antibioties to help fight off infection and your baby will get less constipated.
Breast feed if you can. My son is 2 months old and I just switched him to formula (my milk supply dropped tremendously and I couldn't keep up with his feedings) and so far he hasn't had any problems with the formula. I use Enfamil Lipil GentleEase and he loves it. No constipation or fussyness.
Good luck to you. God bless!

if you are both able then breastfeeding is the best option. providing of course that the milk is not tainted by drugs or alcohol (which i am not saying is the case!) fenugreek is great for keeping your supply of milk high. if you have to use formula then it does not mean you are a bad mother either.
breastfeeding is great whcn it works, but sometimes for many reasons it does not. best wishes.

Breast milk is the best. But it was hard for me so i breast fed untill my kids were six weeks old then i changed to bottlefeeding. They were happy with it and they got all the antibodies to help protect them from my milk.
