Misbah-ul-Haq of Pakistan and Mahela Jayawardene of Sri Lanka are the highest run scorer in Twenty/20 Cricket World Cup till now. Both have scored 158 runs each.
However, the highest individual score so far is 117 runs scored by Chris Gayle of West Indies.

i doubt if there will be a WC cricket in 2020, lets see 2007 was in WI, 2011 in South asia, 2015 undecided, 2019 not known, now where on earth have you planned a cricket WC in 2020.But if you are refering to the 20-20 type of world cup, well in that case i guess some aussie will do it.
