Corn snakes and bull pythons are both non-venemous snakes, and they both use restriction to kill their prey. Corn snakes are not found in Austrailia, only the U.S.

Cornsnakes are only found in the South Eastern parts of the United States, but are available world wide these days due to numerous breeders in all parts of the world. I'm not sure what a bull python is. A Bull snake, or a ball python do you mean? Bull snakes or pine snakes as they are called depending upon where you are, are found throughout the United States. I'm unaware of any in Australia. Ball pythons are originally from Africa, but again, they are available worldwide now due to large numbers of breeders. They are all non-venomous species. Australia is home to one of my favorite species though...the Green tree python! You unfortunately will probably never be able to have one though, due to the strong restrictions in Australia making it very expensive and difficult to obtain the necessary permits. I'm not sure what the restriction if any are on owning either corns or bull snakes. Both are a great animal to keep. Cornsnakes come in a variety of colors and most are docile and easy to care for. Bullsnakes get to be quite large. Some as long as 6 ft. with a rather robust body to them. They can be more aggressive and have an impressive hiss when they are threatened. On the ground they will imitate a rattlesnake by coiling, hissing and striking. Ball pythons are docile as well but can be difficult to feed as they regularly go off food for no reason at all-sometimes for 6-7 months. This can be a cause for some stress on the part of the owner as they try to figure out what might trigger an appetite.

Not sure whether you meant ball pythons or bull snakes which are not actually pythons but neither are native to Australia. Ball pythons are African and bull snakes are North American. Corn snakes are native to the U.S and are harmless.
Australian law prohibits the keeping of non-native reptiles by private citizens so you are not going to see these species available as pets in Australia.

First of all you mean BALL pythons (Python regius) and no they live in AFRICA. Corn snake (Pantherophis guttata) live the in US and are not venomous. You are probably able to purchase either of these in the pet trade in Austrailia Corn snakes are the best option for "pet snake".
