My girlfriend wanted to have sex. I am 17 she is 20. I really didnt want to tell her no so I excepted her offer and was really confused about what was happening. She was on top and I ejaculated in her. She is now pregnant and she is trying to force legal actions onto me. I need to know; can she face any legal consequences?

well you can say that it was statutory rape, it doesn't matter if you consented or not, She still had sex with a minor and thats illegal. I only diff is depending on your state if they still consider 17 a sexual minor and whats the cut off age, like if you did and 18 yr. old thats kinda legal depending on the state....but I don't know about 20.

It depends on where you live. Every country and state has their own age of consent. Look up age of consent on yahoo. There are a few good web sites there. Do you want her to get into trouble? You willing had sex with her and it is your responsibility to support any children born from your actions. Most people are confused their first time, that is normal. Remember to use birth control in the future.

your 17 how did u not know that ejaculation means sperm? And i know you've heard of a condom. Sorry if i came down on you, but if you were so confused about sex you should have said no about having it with her. You need to surf the web and find out the laws of statutory rape in your state, in some it's 16 yrs, so you might be considered a liable adult. she will have to get a paternity test to file for child support if you deny to claim, which you should get a paternity test anyway, just in case the baby isn't yours. Good luck and from now on wrap it up.

Do you have any trusted adult you could tell about this? No matter how you felt about the sex or if you are considered adult, it's still a tough situation to handle alone.

I just had a thought. If you can't trust the adults around you......Is there a crisis pregnancy center in your area. These places are not just for moms to be and babies. I think your situation definitely qualifies as a CRISIS for you. People who work there can help and they don't judge. I really hope you can find some help. Legal or not in age, your situation definitely jumpstarts adult problems for you and the young woman.

If the age of consent is 18 where you live then yes she can be charged with, and convicted of, statutory rape. I don't know where you live, but in some places the age of consent is 14, 16 or 17. You will probably have to pay child support, but I don't think you can get in trouble for anything.

In some states, even if it is consentuail (so sorry for any and ALL spelling errors) yes, she would be facing legal consequences. You may want to do a whole lot of surfing the web for ur states laws about minor, and sex...If she is pressing for CHild support i think that she can also try to get it from ur parents, until u are legal, and if u have a job then she can go after you. My friend and her bf r both minors, and her mother is pressing charges for child support through his mother. IDK if that can be done anywhere or if it depends on where you are. If u want to u can say what state u r in, and i'll try to help you out. or u can e-mail me. I don't do much except web surfing since im weird like that, so i'll have NP trying to help you both. Plus i love helping ppl so, its up to you. & Sounds like you care for her, and she cares for you, and it woud suck if she gets in trouble for doing some legal stuff she had no idea could get her in trouble...

weird. anyway some states the legal age of consent is 16. if not then I would think she would be the one to get into trouble, since you were the minor and she was the adult. But maybe you should try to talk to her, see whats going on

Please talk to someone and soon as possible either your parents, or trusted adult friend, if this is not an option try someone at the local Youth center who maybe able to tell you what the law is regarding this situation. As a few people have said the law is different from state to state and country to country.

I wish you the best
