I had a friend who use to wear 2 pads at a time, with some women this is the norm.
sorry.
don't take ibuprofens, or aspirins for cramps, it'll only thin the blood & make it worse. us e tylenol products.

Drink a lot of water and drinks that have vitamin C.
As for taking a shower - get u a old clean towel and have it ready so when you open the shower curtain you can grab it right away then put it down there as if it was a pad.
You know how you have your time of the month underwear consider this your time of the month towel.
Just make sure to wash it and put it away when your finished with your time of the month (so no one finds it).

If your periods are so heavy that when you stand up, blood will roll of the pad and run down your leg, then it is time to go into adult diapers until you can see your doctor. That is what I had to do. Then my doc found that I had big fibroid tumors. I had surgery and have no trouble now. I don't want to scare you, but if it is one day, ok, probably no problem, but just be cautious if it lasts a long time.

I totally get you. Heavy periods are reeeeaaallly uncomfortable and pads just feel like diapers to me. It is very unfortunate that you cant use tampons because that would help you out a lot. But since you cant I suggest get really good pads like Always Infinity ones. They are very comfortable and you dont feel like you have to waddle around in them. And also change your pad often so you wont feel so wet. Make sure to shower/bathe alot. It will make you feel cleaner and much better! Good luck!

One way to help with easing heavy period flow is to increase the level of iron you take in at that time by eating things like spinach, raisins, and peanut butter (if not allergic to peanuts of course).
Heavy periods need to be evaluated by a doctor as well because sometimes a hormone imbalance can cause this.

Sadly kiddo, you have just got to deal with them.
You can buy personal wipes in the same section where they sell pads if you want to feel cleaner.

How long have you been having periods? If you are at a certain age it could be changes your body is making.
