If they are so proud of the "rightness" of their agenda, why are they hiding it? Why do they think they are right, when the majority of mainstream voters "support couples having access to safe and effective birth control options, including emergency contraception?” Even the majority of self-described “pro-life” voters and a majority of Republican voters strongly support contraception. So why does the anti-choice religious right want us (and them) to have no access to contraception?

Actually RR, I've been using contraceptives for a while, lol. But in the past, I didn't need any since I had a female partner.

You mean the catholics?
that's only one church doctrine. I don't of any other Christian denomination that thinks much of that one catholic doctrine of no contraception. They are all unsupportive of wiping out a baby's life before it even gets here though.... nothing wrong with that is there?

This seems like a loaded question. A lot of people are missing the point of the article if people even took the time out to read it. All they are saying is they think that abstinence should be taught more. They aren't saying that men can sleep with whoever they want while women are stuck at home pregnant, they don't want anyone pregnant unless they are married in a committed relationship. Call me crazy but I think there is nothing wrong with trying to get people to act more responsible then the animals in the jungle and go out and "sleep" with what ever walks in there path, men included. If you don't go to church then what does it matter what they are saying ignore it like you do every day. Im ready for a whole bunch of thumbs down.

Is it not reasonably safe to suggest that the only way that a campaign of this nature could be conducted is via clandestine, subversive and underhanded methods? A hidden agenda is far more likely to be absorbed into mainstream thinking than is the hard fact of the matter as brought to light by the truth. Subtlety sells.
"I choose to make a choice!" is not something that a lot of people really wish to hear being say by those who They are trying to brainwash.

Very good question. My wife would be incredibly proud of you. I think that you know the answer, but I will give it a short stab.
I will compare the current situation with the Dark ages. Need I say more? Are you familiar that with the Catholic church would not allow the practice of modern science or new discoveries....If they can do that, they damnsure can hide their agendas. Our politicians like Bush, use god as a crutch for republican voters.
...Anyhow, my wife is working on her masters right now, she is an OB nurse and would probably love to share some ideas with you. Hit me up with a message, you two are deffinately on the same page.

Amen. I'm glad somebody finally asked this question. You and I both live in North Carolina where 60% of the pharmacies do not carry emergency contraception. What is the conservative agenda? Is it reducing the number of pregnancy terminations by preventing them or trying to control everyone's sexuality?

This is why I am so anti-religious. All they want to do is "propagate the faith" by increasing members. Forbidding or making contraception unavailable or undesirable to their members only helps them gain in strength and power. I am so tired of hidden agendas and also of the religious moral majority who have turned this country into the corporate dictatorship it is.

The Catholic Church wants more babies to be indoctrinated before they are old enough to think for themselves. The Nazi Pope just wants more little boys to play Hitler Youth with!

you know that is a good question for this type of arena. i think its because all forms of religion seeks to control the people through breeding and morality. other types of religious Deity try guilt and resources{labor, food supplies, etc.} to control the Masses. if only they would live in their worlds without constant " recruiting for god ". we would survive this century of oppressed society that does only harm for thy greater masses. study the history of religion and the on going grief that they offer the devout.

Bravo to you for calling it what it is - ANTI CHOICE. They are not prolife, they are anti choice. I could rant all day on this, but I am so encouraged to see people like you stand up to them.

I don't know. It makes no sense! If they are against abortion, then you think they'd be pro-contraception! If you use contraception correctly, there is no need for abortion!

It's quite simple, really. The more babies we have, the less time we'll have to pursue other things in life, thereby turning the clock back to 1954, as one of Paul Weyrich's minions wanted done. (You can find that quote in Backlash.)
