I honestly am not one to care much about celebrity news like this, but I'm aware of the symbolic relevance of this custody battle -- a victory for the father in this situation is another victory for men and men's rights over feminism & misandry.
I always pull for the man to win custody, since women always have the unfair advantage in such court cases.
But even if you look at this case objectively, you can see that K-Fed deserves the kids.
I realize Kevin Federline is known for being a bad rapper, and that he's seen as being a loser or whatever -- but he's done nothing to show that he's an unfit parent. Britney has done a lot of erratic behavior to show that she's an unfit parent, such as:
- strapped her child in the carseat incorrectly
- gave her infant children coffee and soda
- blamed her children for the divorce
- yelled at her children; called them "mistakes"
- lets her children sit in soiled diapers without changing them
- gave kids crest whitestrips for teeth

Priscilla B: Maybe not "always" literally. Perhaps the more accurate term is "generally". If the man is a complete crackhead and the woman is a saint, then obviously I want what's best for the kids. But how is it any different how feminists think the woman should always win custody battles? My position of rooting for the man is merely to counter-balance the unbalanced (and unfair) dichotomy of mother-father custody battles that is clearly in favor of the mother.
And yes, the feminists are pretty unreasonable. Thanks for pointing that out.

Fraxinus26: Are you just mad because you hate seeing the women lose custody battles to men? And I've got $100 saying that my life is far more interesting than yours. But that's not saying much, since you don't have much of a life outside of your 15 cats, your TV programs, and your daily misandrist drivel you spew on the internet.

Kinz: Any form of "erratic" or "irresponsible" behavior can be admitted to a court of law, especially when it comes to child custody cases.

Let's be honest — an upturned broom with a bucket for a head would make a better parent than Britney Spears, and parenting is about the only thing Kevin Federline can do right.

Spears is certainly a horrible mother, by any standards. I couldn't imagine any sane person placing the children in her care!
However, I must disagree with your inclination to favor the father in any custody battle. I think it's best to look at these things on a case by case basis, rather than twisting the circumstances to fit some agenda. The welfare of the child is of the utmost importance, not the gender of the parent who is granted custody. In my state, Oklahoma, the woman is almost always granted custody. The life my sister and I had with our mother is an example of how such favoritism is harmful. I agree with you that not all custody battles should end in the mother's favor, but believing that they should always end in the father's favor is sexism, too.
To answer your question, I think Spears is a loony and is unfit to care for even a dog. Though, Federline isn't much better; I find it disgusting that he doesn't want anything to do with the other children.

Britney does that as you say and Kevin is only after money and he doesn't take care of his other children. So I don't think neither of them deserve the child. Kevin made her look bad, but Britney still did all those things. So I'm voting for Kevin. Yes, parents make mistakes but making mistakes almost all the time is different.

Sadly, the incarceration of Paris Hilton turned into a big joke...and apparently, none of these young women learned anything from it. Perhaps if one of them loses custody of their children, it will make an impact. I am not gender biased when it comes to custody...I think it should be evaluated on a case by case basis OBJECTIVELY. And if K-Fed is the better parent (afterall, a monkey would make a better parent in this case), then I'm pulling for him as well...

Kevin Federline is no saint either. He dumped his 8-months' pregnant girlfriend to take up with Britney. Does he help support those two children he had with Shar Jackson and if so, where is he getting the money?

I think she deserves to lose custody, based on what is known. She's going nuts...she's not a fit mother if all she's doing is partying and carrying on.
If K-Fed is a better parent, he should get primary custody--again, this is based on what is known.

If she is as bad as the tabloids say...then K Fed should get custody..
i mean...he never fought for custody of his kids from Shar...coz he knew those kids would be fine..
but his other babies...they need to be taken away from britney.
im pulling for him too.

Yes, he's doing such a GREAT job with his other two children- oh wait, he doesn't want custody of them. He only wants the ones that are worth a mint.

um, maybe you don't know much about the law, but giving your child an occasional coffee or soda, although questionable, is by no means illegal or worthy of a child abuse charge. almost nothing Britney has done would be relevant in court except for, perhaps, her possible drug use and not strapping her kid in the car seat.

And how perfect are you in your miserably uninteresting life, makes you feel fitted to stand in judgement on the life of a girl followed everywhere by the media? That's typical - now she's down, put the boot in.
