I took 2 ANSWER brand pg test and they both came up positive. Then I took a first response and it also came up positive. The next day I went to the health dept and theirs came up positive. Well today I went to the hospital for a blood test and it came back negative. Could someone please explain. And I started my period today. I need some opinions. Thanks TTC 18 months.

No fertility drugs and I took the 3 at home test the same day which was 2 days before the blood test. I started my period the day before the blood test was done.

That's the oddest thing!!! 4 positives and then a negative, and then a period (or miscarriage). The time frames in which the test were done could be of some significance.

I wish I could explain but I am not sure what has happened. How long between the last positive and the negative blood test? You may have had an early miscarriage and the time between the two was long enough to allow the hcg levels to give a negative.
I think you should give the doctor a call and ask them
EDIT// maybe you could try and do another HPT, to see if that comes up positive, I wouldn't say that a posiitve would mean you are pregnant as the blood test is definitely the one to go by but it will tell you if something else in your system is giving you a positive.

This actually happened to one of my friends. The blood test is the most accurate one. Good thing you went & had that done. Your @ home PG tests came positive is probably due to hormones. That just shows you how interesting the human body works, esp. a woman's body.

How long was it between the time you had your last urine pregnancy test, and when you had the blood test at the hospital? It is possible that you may have had a miscarriage in the earliest stage of pregnancy.

if you started your period then u may have lost it,,, BUT<<<
wait another week and do another hometest, some people may get a period while pregnant
and sometimes a blood test too early will come negative,, its happened to me,,,xxxx good luck,,,its hard to wait, but b patient,

that is very strange... im sorry i can't come up with any type of explanation.... unless .... were you on fertility drugs? these can sometimes produce false positives if you are being injected with HcG....

that's weird, you should always go to your doctor first if you think you pregnant. i think your stress out maybe you need to rest.
