this is such a sad observation and yet so true to a lot of people in the society today. The more materialistic we are, the further away we are from humanity. I'm not saying don't accumulate any but we have to draw the line somewhere! Once one reaches the point of "Enough" isn't it time to share? so we can all survive as a specie.

As far as materialism is concerned it's a product of monetary system. This enable us to accumulate limitless wealth. So therefore the only limit we set in collecting wealth has to come from within ourselves. so the BIG question is how much is enough? what kind of price tag do we set on ourselves.

No. Materialism is a very valid and useful way to think about things. Science and technology work. Actually, if you think materialistically enough, it's even the apophatic path to god.

Oh, did you mean materialism colloquially, like, acquisitiveness for consumer goods? Haha... no, it's just a vice.

greeed sure does, yes I believe you are right.
I don't think God meant this when He said, be fruitful. I think He meant produce, but produce good things and work and efforts in your life, to be shared and enjoyed.

In most people, yes.

In me, no.

I'd rather be practical and smart than greedy and trendy. Most trendy stuff makes you look stupid anyways.
