No, the purpose is for my brain to be able to move my body to where my penis needs to go.

Our body carries out the actions thought out by our brain, (which may or may not be separate from the mind and I'm not going into that). Without the body perhaps emotions wouldn't exist because there is nothing to 'act out' our emotions. If we were all just floating brains we would not be able to advance in technology, tradition, or civilization in general. Then the concept of existence comes into question-if indeed, we were all floating brains then what is our purpose if we cannot do anything? >excluding telikinesis< The body may often be considered merely a container but take into consideration the fact that the brain cannot function without the spinal cord and other feedback mechanisms >considered to be 'the body'. Everything is connected for a reason.

they are integral systems all created by God to be a growing system. There is such a thing called "muscle memory" where the muscle does react commonly without brain activity. There is also dura matter in the spinal column which reacts on it's own, separate from the brain as an organ.
So the entire body can create and interact independentl, and also completely dependent on the other parts and organs and systems.
It's a wonderful variety of the most intelligent kind. Enjoy it all, and study some anatomy (but the higher classes, because the lower level classes are a little dry sometimes.) Libraries have 'em all.

Actually, 'Mike Likes It' is correct.

The "purpose" of your body is to reproduce. As long as you survive long enough to reproduce and raise your offspring, you have been successful as an organism.
This is "The Selfish Gene" theory.
