It could be any of a number of things, however mostly hormones play a big role in this. It may just be something as simple as your hormones being out of whack (I get this often) as I have a pretty irregular cycle.
Another thing is that you could possibly have an ovarian cyst. I have had this before where I miss my period, then get it twice in a month and then again 6 weeks later and miss it again and each time this has happened it's been a cyst.
If you're under a lot of stress that could cause delays and an irregular period as well.
I would recommend seeing your doctor to see what they say - he/she may want to run some tests or send you for an ultrasound to see what could be causing this.

I would go talk to the gynecologist. There are a lot of things that can cause an irregular period such as stress, working out/sports, drastic change in diet, weight or just hormone in-balances. I went in about a month ago and they found a cyst on the my ovary that was causing mine, so it can't hurt to just be looked at. I am sure they will figure everything out for you. Good luck.

Have you taken the morning after pill lately? that also causes some delays in your period cycles, also birth control can if you miss a day, or arent' taking it as scheduled. It can happen also if you skip the sugar pills too. Hopefully you find something helpful. Good luck.

If your "periods" come regularly, every 28 to 35 days, and you have been sexually active, perhaps you should consult a doctor. You could be diabetic, suffering from Hodgkins Disease, have cancer, be hypoglycemic; any number of possibilities.

Maybe it is something else causing your symptoms, It could also be nothing. Many woment are in your category! If you were as regular as clockwork and are not around the age of menopause there may be something else, or not!
I'd see someone!

You should see a gynecologist to find out what's going on. There might be something wrong, the doctor could help you. I hope you're OK.

stress is usually the main cause of that.. birth control should control your periods and when you get them and help you stay more regular
