Southwest airlines recently made one poor girl ride with a blanket across her lap her entire flight, another had to drape one about her shoulders, neither was inappropiately dressed..what you would do if you were told you had to do this or not fly? Personally...I would tell them to piss off, and to let me see their written specific dress code. Your opinions please.. Ta

surely they should be told of any weird 'dress code' before they buy the ticket, that way they could dress accordingly and not have to suffer embarrassment under a sweaty blanket

I saw the girl with the short skirt and it was short but she was covered. I think someone was overwhelmed with her figure and behaved poorly. Someone else could have worn the same outfit and they wouldn't have said a word. I don't know how Southwest Airlines handled this after the fact but they owed her an apology and the person that made that decision needed a new job or a bunch of training. I don't think embarrassing her was the way to go. . .My reaction would depend on how badly I needed to get to where that flight was going. Knowing me, if there was another way to go, I'd go the other way, complaining all the way and my first call would be to my lawyer. I think they were way off base.

I think it's pretty bad that you here people setting dress codes hear and there for people. What was the flight full of old women giving the girl the thin lipped glare?

I once rode as a relative of an employee. You get to ride for
a lot less, but my cousin told me that they have a dress code for employees and any friends or relatives who fly under their name so-to-speak. ( Which is what this girl was doing) He told me to not wear jeans, shorts low cut blouses, t-shirts with
advertisements on them, nor mini skirts. I was saving a lot of money so I didn't care at all. I'm sure this lady was told previously as well and just wants the attention or probably a reason to file a lawsuit.

That's the problem with society these days.
It's all about appearances.
I wish I was a passenger on that flight.
I'm sure I would have put my opinion across.
