Why do so many females ask if they could be pregnant? Isn't it as simple as;
*know your body
*know your biology
*know your birth-control
*call your M.D
????????????????????

Thanks but I am a grown woman and a mother of two. I just wonder if most of them asking are young girls?

Many women don't use birth control and if they do they don't use it properly. As for calling your MD that is not really needed when they can buy a pregnancy test at the store for a couple of bucks. Biology???? Not all schools teach the same stuff and sex ed doesn't cut it either. Also many girls are afraid to ask their parents to start them on birth control pills. My husbands biology teacher back in the 70's told his class they didn't need the reproduction stuff as there class had the highest pregnancy rate of all time. Hubby tends to stretch the truth at times but if that is true you can see how some people would not have a clue.

I just posted a question asking because I know my body and things have been happening that aren't normal.
I know I could be pregnant, so I know my biology, but I want to see if anyone else has had similar problems like mine so that I can hear what happened with them.
I stopped taking birth control because I had adverse reactions with medication, and my boyfriend uses condoms now, but those aren't 100% effective; nothing is.
I called my doctor and they can't get me in until next week so I have to wait and worry!
I hope when I find out exactly what is wrong, that maybe I can come on here and help others.

Maybe the education systems of the world are not teaching girls about their bodies and about ways in which they can get pregnant. Also, there are so many fairy stories around of people getting pregnant from a toilet seat, etc, it is easy for an under-educated (on this matter) person to start to think they can get pregnant from almost anything.

The reason that so many females ask if they could be pregnant is because so many females are practicing unprotective sex. And we all know how unpreditable a period can be. Not that I have any experience, but I'm a medical provider and see this a lot.

I think most who are asking are young and IMO too young to have sex if they do not know the symptoms of pregnancy and the consequences they take by having sex.
And, they need to get a pregnancy test or go to a doctor to get a test.
I don't know WHY they ask, we don't have psychic abilities to "feel" if they are pregnant or not.

It could be that many of them have never been pregnant before and don't recognize the symptoms or deep down inside they know it but are in a state of deep denial.

this one is to easy. young girl don't under stand how there body works. Nore do the under stand that if they open there leg that they could be in for a big surprise in 9 month. I think that young girls have sex just to be in the in groupe

maybe cuz its gonna have a big impact in her life... if shes in high school she might not graduate or even in collage, shes gonna have to spend a lot of time with her baby instead of hanging out with her friends or doin what they like to do
