You start counting your menstrual cycle on the first day of your period, then count up 28 days - this would be your next expected period date.
The following is a link to an online menstrual calendar. It will send you an email when your next expected period is due.
Keep in mind, though, that if you have just recently started your periods, it could take up to a year or more before your periods become regulated. Don't stress out if you miss a few. Keep protection with you at all times in the event of an accident when/if you are away from home.

normally it comes the one month from your first day hence a good 28 day cycle. This is the most common, however not all women follow a set cycle and have some "extra" time in between. I personally have a once every two month cycle.
so I get 6 periods a year instead of 12, I do not mind this as it costs less, also my family has no problems getting pregnant.
however if you have just got your first period it may take up to a year for you to get into any set cycle as your first year can be very sporadic.

A woman's "period" does not always come a month after the first day of her last period or the last day of her last period.
Before I had my first child, at the age of 22, my "period" did not come at any regular interval. My "period" often came only every two or three months. I even had two "periods" while pregnant with my first child.

Periods are not often that precise unless you are on the pill!
The average menstrual cycle is 28 days from the start of one to the start of the next, but it can range from 21 days to 35 days
Keep a record of your periods and see if you are on a consistently normal cycle. Then you would know.
Since cycles are not monthly, but periods of days (forgive the pun) it is possible to have 2 cycles in a month!

If you period is regular you will get it every so many days from the FIRST day of your last period. It may be every 28 days or it may be every 32 days etc as every person is different.
