I seriously think that I would rather listen to a lifetime of t-pain (who I despise) over an hour of soulja boy...

I feel you Peas...I agree that Lil Momma and Soulja boy are kids...But its annoying to hear that Soulja boy song constantly on the radio...Lil Momma I can stomach at least she has a lil story to her ish...But Soulja boy is just ignant...And makes no sense...Looking back in the day...There was variety...I mean no we dont just need only conscious rappers...We need rappers that are not gonna sound a like...When Utfo rapped u knew it was Utfo...Same as the Fat Boys same as Jazzy Jeff&Prince...They each brought something different to your ears...Now everything is tryna sound similar to Wayne, TI, or those dance song ppl...Whats the difference between UNK and Crime Mob?..what about DL4 and Dem Franchise Boyz...nothing they sound the same. And where are they now? Exactly and hopefully the rest will die out soon too.

Ayo, I feel you. Soulja Boy is straight garbage, and there already been a Soulja Boy before him. I only heard that song once in Cali, the radio stations here aren`t as bad. Lol, it`s only retards who enjoy it man, you gotta have a low IQ to stand that kind of music. Soulja Boy album probably gone flop, like Shop Boyz album did.

I don`t even think Lil Mama write her lyrics, lmao. The same time though, I can`t imagine her paying a ghost writer who`s that terrible at lyrics.

I hear what you're saying, but I like the hook and the beat. The lyrics are very juvenile, but isn't he really young, like 16 or 17?
Kids that age are just trying to have fun.
Look at Lil Momma. People seem to love her, but her songs are immature. She's like 18 now.
If you're a real hip-hop head, I can see why you wouldn't like this song, but think about all the other rappers that were out at the same time all the O.G.s were out.
All the Roxanne Roxanne's.
Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince.
J.J Fad, Tigra and Bunny (the cars that go boom),
The Fat Boys, Kris Cross, Mc Hammer.
They were all having fun with there music.
Music should be World Wide communication.
We shouldn't leave it up to Everybody to be concious, it's just time for the conciouse people to start making music again, and it's finally happening with Common, Talib, and Kanye.

guy particular soulja boi is interior the hip-hop classification to me...and Ice-T is interior the Rap classification. To me Rap is the paintings of tale telling and rhyming on a similar time no merely rhyming and attempting to coach somebody the thank you to do a dance. So particular Soulja Boi sucks to three human beings and to three human beings he doesent. To me he's not making genuine song, hes making a team of club hits that get performed out and thats the only factor they undergo in strategies soulja boi for is club Hits no longer song that Touches the Soul like Ice Cubes do or Emenims do. i think he doesent have the skills to try this yet hes doing stable at what he does and thats coaching human beings the thank you to bop

I can't stand the garbage they play on the radio and tv. When is real music comin' back people??? Everyone is just making quick cash by coming out with stupid songs that go along with simple dances. It's like you don't need talent to be in the music business anymore.

I say we come up with a dance, write some stupid lyrics that don't make sense, add it to a nice beat and watch the money roll in.

Lil Mama is actually a good song writer but her label releases stupid songs. She has some real good songs like "No music" that you hear at the breakdown in "Lip gloss"

I think alot of the popularity of this song centers around the dance associated with it. Otherwise known as the "Soulja Boy". I'll be honest even though i agree that the quality of rap and hip hop has gone down greatly, i love doin the dance. Its fun at parties with a bunch of your homies. Search for Soulja Boy Dance on youtube to see the "instructional video" starring Soulja Boy himself. Its pretty funny.
