I'm not understanding how it would end up under the spare wheel in the boot.
Wouldn't that involve some feat of gymnastics?

Youch Girls!
Yes Faith, am a mother too - not sure where the vitriole comes from - was only confused by used nappies being stored under the spare wheel and not in a nice nappy sack in the baby change bag that goes everywhere with most parents. Obviously it's far easier to remove the carpet, lift up the spare tyre, put the nappy underneath and then put everything back again. Not an unfair question. But thank you for presuming it was. Good to see the people who consider themselves fair and friendly aren't letting the side down. Was begining to side with you guys a bit but you've just reminded me why I dont!

**Thank you Lexy - Yes you're right on the transfer of hair/fibre/skin cells etc, and I'm more than aware of this as was employed in that field. Obviously let's hope the body fluids are indeed urine belonging to a different child altogether and not fluids from a putrifying corpse, because obviously if they transfered that in to the car there might be further questions. PR's doing well though isn't he:)

Right now there are umpteen mums sitting at home wondering what's the longest they've ever kept a used nappy, especially in a hot country. I don't understand how it got under the spare wheel in the boot either.
I don't know why the McCanns insist on publishing this sort of thing which only leads on to the sort of speculation we keep being criticised for.

Was the hair and dna evidence found in the wheel well in the boot, either under the spare wheel or just around the spare wheel? Why is everybody missing the point here. There are carpets in cars covering over the spare wheel well where the wheel sits. How the hell does dna and hair transfer itself from an item carried in the boot of the car magic itself through the carpet and into the spare wheel well?
The only way for this to happen is if somebody has lifted the carpet up. How often do you lift the boot carpet up in your car? The only occasion that anyone would have to lift the boot carpet up would be if you had a flat tyre and needed to change the tyre over for the spare....pro mccanns think about this point carefully.
These carpets are quite thick as well and fit snugly around the sides of the boot. In my opinion, the only way for this to have been found in the boot is that the spare wheel has been removed from its well and something carried in this space. This would be a good place to conceal something.

Morning Snaffle,
I just heard on the news that the body fluids of Madeleine's found in the car was sweat on one of her plastic sandals.
Trouble is, the minute the media screamed body fluids, & DNA found in car people began to think the worst.
They also said that DNA was bound to be found in their car, they moved all of their belongings from one apartment to another.
As for urine in the back of the car, I only caught the end of that, and it had something to do with nappies, you only need the most minutest drop, it is possible.
edit - The experiment the other night on the Sir Trevor McDonald showed how minute piece of DNA can be moved around. The forensic expert, rubbed a small piece of glitter onto his hand, he then handle an obect, gave it to an assistant who place it in the boot of a car, on close inspection small piece of glitter were found in the fibres of the car boot, he explained thats how easy it is to transfer your DNA to a place you have never been, interesting stuff!

I don't know. We shall have to rely on cross examination and experts opinion on this.
But this always brings me back to the pont - so where, if they did kill her, did they store the body for 25 days? With police and friends and relatives crawling all over the place.
That makes as little sense as the dna evidence.

Do you remember being 2years old?
Have you heard of nappies & pampers?
Many parents chuck the nappy/pamper bag right into the boot.
Nappies/pampers are leak-proof despite the advertisements claiming otherwise.
I'm a Mummy, i know.
Edit: Well said Lexy!
Hadn't heard about her pespiration on the plastic sandals. Makes so much sense. Its so plausible when you're not fixated & blinded by dislike that every innocent happening is warped into something sinister.
Edit: I'm sorry Snaffles, for the high level of vitriole expended by me...Its just that i'm really upset at the wild presumptions flying around. Truly didn't mean to snap.

Although they did not state exactly what the bodily fluid in the trunk was, there was also hair that was Maddies. There would be no confusion between her DNA and that of the twins.
