Since it has been awhile since I have done decimal fractions, let's hope this is right:
10.2/0.3 divided by 1.7/.1 =
10.2/0.3 times .1/1.7 =
(multiply each, numerator and denominator to come up with) : 1.02/.51
Reduce down to equal 2.

Just flip the second fraction over and mulitiply by the recipricol. Then factor out the numbers.

10.2/0.3 X .1/1.7

10.2/ 1.7 factors out to six. while 1.7 factors to one. so here

10.2 /1.7/0.3 X .1/1.7/1.7.

6/0.3 X .1/ 1

Now you multiply the numerator and demoniator and then simplify.

.6/0.3 or 2

Also if you didn't know, a fraction is simply a number that divides another number. Like 10.2/0.3 is simply 10.2 divided by 0.3

(10.2/0.3) / (1.7/0.1)

Multiply both fractions by [(0.3)(0.1)] so that the bottom halves of each fraction cancel out.. You're left with:

=(10.2*0.1)/(1.7*0.3)
=1.02 / .51
=2
