It depends on what you are using your computer for. If you are running Windows XP, and just surfing the Internet then using integrated graphics will suffice. If you are planning on running Windows Vista, and/or gaming software, then a separate graphics card would be best. You could buy a computer with integrated graphics as long as it had an available PCI Express x16 slot. Then if you needed to upgrade you could. I would think integrated graphics would always be cheaper. You get what you pay for.

in case you have an integrated card then you definately have not have been given a photos grade PCI-show or AGP slot and till you have a networking pc you haven't any longer have been given twin CPUs you have gotten a twin middle single CPU yet you haven't any longer have been given twin CPUs. (expertise your hardware is the 1st step) your basically selection is a customary PCI slot alternative, those are extremely uncommon and in lots of situations would desire to be ordered by way of an information superhighway broker and that they only grant marginal imporovements over your integrated answer. the terrific answer to this difficulty is to be a greater proper laptop customer interior the destiny, in case you ever decide to apply a working laptop or pc to play video games do no longer purchase a working laptop or pc with integrated photos era the taking part in cards easily all suck and are produced for the only purpose of establishing a greater much less costly decrease high quality pc, you could gain large effects with greater or less the comparable expenditures identifying to purchase a custom geared up gadget. (a close-by keep qouted me 1500 on a quad middle gadget working a mid selection card that would run counter strike source/0.5 existence 2 completely.)

The video chip on a motherboard uses the processor and system memory. Graphics cards come with their own processor and memory. You will most likely see the difference in performance when watching videos or playing graphically intense video games.

Yes, If you bought a video card that is not integrated to the board this would be a lot better, because it takes the load of your processor. So now you have a graphics card that would run on a seperate channel giving more speed to your system.
Try www.newegg.com they sell all your computer needs and more.

Your decision ought to depend upon what you want to do with your machine. In my view, if you can stay away from integrated cards and don't think of the extra fifty or a hundred $$$ more, for an independed card just do stay away from the integrated stuff.

See how much they charge to upgrade to the video card then see how much you can buy it for on Newegg. Sometimes its cheaper to get it when you buy the puter but sometimes it isn't.
One thing you should seriously think about thou is that opening your case and putting a card in yourself voids your warranty.
