Yes. I jumped into bed with Steve almost as soon as we met. The electricity was undeniable. And we stayed together over 20 years.

Call me old-fashioned but, no, I don't believe that you can have a lasting relatlionship if you sleep with him/her on the first date.

I know some people have answered that they have but it sounded like they already knew that person before that crucial first date and roll in the hay. (Like the lady who had known him 31 yrs but they've been together only 6.)

I run a singles group in my hometown and I've seen people who are good people but were in too big a hurry jump in the sack too soon and then the relationship doesn't work out. I've had women admit that part of the problem with their relationships is that they got intimate too soon.

Me, I can't have sex on the 1st date. I need to be able to RELAX in order to enjoy a sexual experience and how can you really, truly relax with a stranger? There's no trust there.

Plus, as someone pointed out, there are too many STD's out there. No thanks.

Well, in this situation, you either A) absolutely KNOW he or she is the one for you, and see no reason to wait, or you B) are way too easy, and it's probably hard for you to have a lasting relationship with anyone, because you're too quick to jump the gun (I'm not specifically referring to you or anyone in particular, Anon-e-Mouse, this is just what I would tell someone).
