Men are attracted to whoever is available, and the type that compliments, or fits in with their needs.
From observation,I have noticed that men who go for the shy type, are bullies who use their woman as a punching bag, and the confident woman is usually swooped on by a guy who prefers to be a professional student, or out of work artistic type.

shy women attract two types of men: shy, kind men that wish to be with someone similar to themselves, and loud, bully types that want someone to boss around. overall, i think it is better for anyone to be more confident rather than less. confidence is key to loving yourself. so, the healthier the man, the more confident his mate will be, i believe.

I am an introvert, and terribly shy face-to-face (though not in writing), and I don't actually attract men. So I'd say they are more attracted to confident women.

Both. It depends on the situation. Confidence is much appreciated in company, in bed, at home with the kids, etc. Shyness is appreciated when subtlety is needed - introduction to parents, first kiss, that sort of thing. Don't be a one-trick horse. You're not one or the other. Be both!
