Not in that way. summers are pretty quiet because of the heat. But now that it's cooling down things are getting busier like kids hanging out, people walking their dog, etc. We've only had one drive by shooting in my lifetime here and he got arrested w/i the hour and rec. so much time it didn't give anyone else the idea to try it.

Most of the gangs here are petty stuff. No turf wars or anything. There are drug problems but they keep mostly to themselves. Some crime but again for the most part it's burgularies when the owner is gone, stealing stuff from a car. writing a bad check, etc. Domestic problems in families are the most common problem. Neighbors tend to watch out for each other. We have less than 25,000.

It depends on what your city is like. For me it a some what large city and it is very busy and noisy what i mean is i live just a few miles from the local interstates and live blocks a way from two local fire deptments amd police station. who the people sleep here? who knows you just have to work around it or sleep by taking naps a verious times of the day.

It was extremely busy in the past few months when construction was going on repairing the streets. However, aside from kids and teenagers running around and biking, it's not so busy. It looks like suburbia.

my husband and I moved to the country about 20 years ago. we moved away from all that stuff. I hardly see my neighbors. I would like to get to know some of them, but we work different hours.
