slope is upward thrust over run... so use a calculator and divide 5.5 by ability of 18.fifty 8. The slope is 0.3 (to the closest hundredth). you do no longer decide to apply pythagorean (sp?) theorem for the reason that provides you with the dimensions of the hypotenuse (the diagonal component of the triangle).

its a triange. if the bottom (adjacent) of it is 18.74 feet long, and the rise (opposite) is 5.5 feet high, use some basic math to figure out the "rise over run" 5.5/18.74. .29ftrise/1ft run
