Expedia offers cheaper seats between 3-4 am, (great time for those with insomnia brought on by the emo baggage) the seats are in class F, located by the emergency exits.
If your emotional baggage is Cargo, then they offer "Cheap Cruises" for you instead.

Maybe, some airlines allow people to hold onto one of their carry-ons during flights. Perhaps you can sit in one of your friend's laps for 9 hours.

They probably won't let you on the plane. Watch "Airline" sometime....lots of people claim to be sick and need to get home. Sorry, that's a red flag at the airport...they don't want to make emergency landings in Idaho to let one guy off....
