and begin to feel overwhelmingly optimistic about life? Ever listen to a great tune, and say, "Hey! You know what? I can do this!" Ever feel like everything that's wrong in your life is going to be better as the song plays on? And then ever go back to reality and realize, "Damn! This sh** is harder than it seemed!" ?

Yes. Yes. Yes. But, we must keep going, listen to more music, feel better, feel crappier, make good descisions and make bad ones etc. That's life. Music just makes it all the more well-while. One song that really gets me feeling optimistic is Cermony by New Order. :)
Keep listening dudeson.

Some songs can cause you to feel temporary happiness in your life as long as the song plays on.But at the same time,my mind is still in the reality that this temporary happiness is just an illusion while my soul is addicted to it.At the mean time, some songs give you "fighting spirit" as you will have the absolute confidence to do something. However, confidence itself does not enough to complete it.When failure(or something undesired) happens, you may get frustrated and feel it is harder than what you ever thought.

Some people are auditory, you may be as well.

My mood can change instantly with a song, or by turning off music. Auditory people are highly affected by music especially feeling more energetic and optimistic.

The widespread use of CD players and MP3 players is an indication of people use music to regulate their moods. Take away the music and they feel differently.
