You have to determine where the power is not. Remove the left tail light and test the power and ground delivered to the circuit board with a test light. Turn on the blinkers and test the circuit, if the test light works as if should in the blinker or stop lamp you have a circuit board or bulb problem. If there is no power or ground to the connector, you have to trace back the wiring all the way to the signal switch. Lots of these trucks had a connector around the rear bumper that used to corrode so be sure to look at all of this stuff.

make sure you have the right sized bulb in it,they often give you the wrong size bulb at the parts store for these, and they just wont work right, check that and also use a 12 volt tester and see if there is power back there, turn the blinker on,this may just be a bad connection on it,good luck with it.

make sure you have the correct bulb in. sometimes the tail light and blinker have two diffrent bulbs. look on the bottom of the bulb, some have one conducter, some have two.

Fuse? Relay? Fusible link? Signal switch? At the very least, take it to a shop. It doesn't cost much to get an estimate. Some places don't charge at all.

Operate the hazard lights. Does everything work? Can you interchange circuit boards?

you probably have a broken wire under the back of the truck and/or a break at the trailer harness if it's equipt a trailer connector.just look under the back bumper at the wires.
