It could be a good or bad thing.
For example, getting elected class president when you were 100% sure you wouldn't be elected thinking you weren't popular enough in school...and then what do you know, you're elected!

Not really in the same league, but this reminds me of this weird thing that's happened to me for years. I'll set something on the counter in the kitchen or bathroom, fully confident it wasn't going to fall. Half the time when I walk off, it falls over. I always suspected the laws of physics were conspiring against me. Maybe it's gremlins. :D

No, because I can chalk it up to pessimism.

What's weird is when I feel sure that something is going to happen despite no indication whatsoever that it is, and then it does. For example, when I'm sure the phone is going to ring even though I'm not expecting a call, and then whoa, it rings!

You know, I always thought that I was psychic or something, but After me, my family, and some of our friends, made a hypothisis, we concluded, that it was paterns that our brain sensed!
Our brain over time figures out patterns, in the way we live, think, and do things! It also pays attention to whats around us, and it can eventually, figure out whats going to happen next!
Its like solving whats next

1.2.4 1.2.4 1.2.4 1.2 WHATS NEXT? "4" Its just like that but more complex!

Hope this helps!
