Simply put - knowledge. How does one attain knowledge? Through experiencing life and all of the ups, downs, ins and rounds it has to teach us. Strive to learn or experience something totally new each day of this life. I seek the days opportunities and refuse to focus solely on the negative aspects of the day. I will look at them to find the lesson I am meant to learn but I will not allow those negative events block my opportunities for growth. A restless soul seeks more than what it currently has and will remain restless until it realizes there is no more for it to learn in this life then, guess what, it moves on to the next life to learn and experience more. Learning and experiencing life is what soothes our souls. If it's not learning and experiencing something new every day it becomes restless.

There are a lot of things...but three of my favorites are:
(1) Drinking some good wine and talking with a close friend that you can trust with anything...then listening to his or her problems and realizing that you're not alone in your restlessness or frustration or any other emotion in life
(2) Snuggling down in to the warm covers, falling asleep, then waking up next to the person you love...more snuggling can be added in the morning if needed ;)
(3) I like to give myself a "beach day" if I'm really restless or feel too stressed out. I go to the beach by myself. I play in the water. I lay out and soak up the warmth of the sun. I walk along the sidewalk and aimlessly look in the little shops. I always end up getting ice cream. :) And I always go home feeling much better.

LOVE is the answer. It has implicit peace, understanding, comprehension, tolerance...all those calm any restless soul.

Music, sleep, poetry, other forms of art, answering questions on Yahoo! answers, sweet tea, and most importantly: Jesus. Only sightlky less important: CHOCOLATE!
